David Wallace
David was born in a small town in Wisconsin and raised there
and in Illinois and Arizona.
It was with the family’s move to Arizona that his love for the outdoors
took hold. He was never happier than when he was hiking and camping out, so he
pursued a degree in Geology to continue his love of nature and the outdoors.
A few credits short of graduating he was made aware of the sad fact that jobs
in his field had dried up, so he changed majors and went into pharmacy. It
wasn’t great love
but it did pay well which financed his traveling and mountain climbing, and gave
him a steady income. He was on a trip on a freighter in the South Pacific when
he met Victoria and after a long distance love affair, married her and adopted
her son Demian. David is at his best when he is working or playing outdoors.
He, along with his family, has a great love of animals and protecting them from
harm. On his forty acre ranch outside of San Diego he has 3 horses, 6 dogs,
5 cats, 4 parrots, and 2 frogs. The other love of his life is traveling and,
along with Victoria, he has traveled extensively. It was on his third trip to
Africa that the idea of owning a safari camp occurred to him and his wife, and
they have never looked back since. |

Victoria Wallace
Victoria was born in Bend, Orogon and raised in South Dakota,
Idaho, and Arizona.
Her love of travel started early as the family criss-crossed the western United
States as her father changed jobs and the family changed residence. When
she was 11 years old she went to Japan with her family to visit
her Mother's family.
That trip opened up her eyes to how many different ways there
were to live, and started her desire to see the world.
At eighteen, she took her one year old child and move to the
Big Island of Hawaii. Living in Hawaii she worked in the hotel
industry as a waitress and then a bartender. This enabled her
to live with her son in a beautiful area and travel whenever
she could get money and time together. She and her son Demian
lived on the Big Island, Maui Kauai, and Oahu as well
as in Japan and San Francisco.
After a trip to Greece and Turkey she returned back to Kauai
and enrolled in nursing school. She finished her BSN degree
on Oahu at the University of Hawaii.
After working as a RN for a few years, she went on a freighter
trip to the Marquesas Islands where she met her husband David.
She loves being in Zambia with the elephants, or being home
on their ranch riding horses with David and Demian.

Demian Wallace
Demian was born in Phoenix Arizona and raised in Hawaii, California
and Japan.
He started swimming when he was 2 years old, and by 3 was dragging around a surf
board. At eight years old he started studying Aikido, and at 13 he stared working
out with weights. His love of exercises, martial arts, travel and the ocean have
stayed with him and he has worked as a scuba instructor, a first mate on a motor
yacht, a waiter, a real estate salesman, a personal trainer, and a model.
He has a degree in business which has come in very handy in putting together
this safari camp, as has his ability to feel at home anywhere. He has put in
his share of work at Zikomo and when the camp is finished, he will also finish
his guides license.
